Immunyx is developing a first-in-class modulator of neutrophil activation for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Neutrophils are a well-established mediator of mucosal tissue damage, and IMYX-3 covalently inhibits RAB27A to prevent the toxic effects of neutrophil activation while preserving neutrophils’ critical anti-infective functions.
